Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
How come my father whos a police officer got away with domestic violence? i was kicked out on the street and beer bottles smashed over my head, its been a year now since i fought back and moved in with my mother. my mother says itd take about a year to get full custody over me and take all this to court.... but i want it to be sooner, can i make this happen?

Have you filed a complaint with his department? Have you pressed criminal charges? Have you filed for a domestic violence protection order? Had you considered making a public records request for any discipline actions in his personnel file? There are a variety of ways you can put pressure on. If you do file a complaint with his department, put it in writing and deliver it to the chief if possible.
