Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

finding my son' father

I have a 13 month old and I am having a hard time locating his father; unfortunately, we are absent of his last name. I have his license plate number and cell phone number. Does anyone know how to pursue this? Besides wanting my son to know his father, child support would be very helpful right now.

Re: finding my son' father

If you are receiving any state support you can approach the family support unit of the prosecutor's office. They have the resources to assist you in tracking down your child's father. If you are not receiving state support, you should contact an attorney (who will probably have a PI do a check on the information you have), then paternity will have to be established either by his signing an acknowledgment of paternity or proving it by testing.
