Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Frustrated

19 months ago I was granted a move out of washington state to california, my ex at the time refused the proposed long distance parenting plan, and over the last 19 months has refused all other proposed parenting plans, taking up to 6 months to respond. My child support is also supposed to be raised due to an increase in his pay. I believe he is taking his time on this to save himself money on child support to date he has saved $5200.00 wich more than pays for his leagal fees while mine continue to rack up trying to get this solved. I have over the last 19 months allowed visitation of my child although the only parenting plan in place does not allow out of state visits, I was told if I allowed this this would be solved faster.... it has no. I can not get an answer form my lawyer is there anything I can do about this it is only costing me more the longer he waits and saves money.

Thank you for your time.

Re: Frustrated

You have a lawyer. By the RPC's other lawyers are prohibited from providing you advice unless and until you are no longer represented.

You need to write to your lawyer and spell out your concerns. This is NOT a phone call, it is a letter.

Should you chose to sever your relationship with your lawyer, you can ask your friends or family for a referral to another lawyer who has a better ability to respond to your issues.

But until then, other lawyers can't help you.

Sorry about that. Powell
