Re: guideons law?

If you are going to represent yourself (pro se) in a Washington court, you will be expected to know and comply with the law and the rules as if you were a lawyer.

You may be thinking of Gideon v Wainwright or Gideon v Cartwright (the same case, but the superintendent of the Florida prison system changed),it applies only to criminal cases and says that in any felony case you are entitled to an attorney. That right has been expanded (only in the criminal context).
