Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Indian Child Welfare Dependency Case

I never received an offical Notice and Summons, DSHS court Document notifying Indian parent. I called CPS they told me when court was held. I want to know if the court has jurisdiction when the N&S and Notice to Indian parent is missing. What happens if the court has no jurisdiction?

Re: Indian Child Welfare Dependency Case

If the (presumably)Washington state court had no jurisdiction to hear the particular matter at issue, then any order which may have issued should be invalid. However, if the particular documents which you've mentioned were in fact not served upon you nor sent to you for whatever reason, it's rather unlikely that that would cause the court hearing this matter not to have proper jurisdiction or invalidate its ensuing order, particularly in a matter of a minor child(whether Native American or not) apparently involving the local child protective services agency.
