Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Late February 2008 my daughter came out & told me that her fater molested her. I went & had her interviewed by detectives & he took a lie ditector test & failed. Once it got to the prosecuting attorney he closed the case stating there wasn't enough evidence. The last time he had any contact with her was February 2, 2008. He still does pay child support but only by it being garnished from his paycheck. My question is since he has had no contact what so ever in any kind of form would it be considered abandonment of a child? Thank you!!

For criminal purposes? No. For any purposes? I don't see any. I take it your objective is that he be prosecuted criminally, and there is nothing you really do to compel that. Write the prosecutor, call, etc if you want to exert maximum influence about it.
