Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Can I leave the country?

I have no way of contacting my exhusband and I was told in order to take our daughter out of the country on vacation I have to have his written permission. Is there anyway around that since he has no address or phone number to reach him at?

Re: Can I leave the country?

Your going to need some time, but you have to show that he has moved and is not locatable, and then do a motion to have the court modify your parenting plan giving you full authority or issue an order to allow you to sign off on temporary absence from the country without his consent. In any event you are going to have to get the court to give you this authority.
