Legal ages

I am 16 years old and I live with my father, in Washington state.Recently I came down to Georgia to vist my mother, her husband and my brothers, while being down here I have decided that I want to live her instead of in Washington with my father. In the papers my father is my residental parent and I was woundering if I am at an age where I can decide where I want to live and if not how much say so dose my father have on my moving down here?

Re: Legal ages

The decision, AS A PRACTICAL MATTER, is pretty much yours. Just tell him you want to stay, but make it clear the decision is solely yours and that you haven't been coerced by your mother. If he will not agree, if you refuse to come home, there's not really much he can do about it.

Of course, what is the right thing for you to do is not a legal question but a moral one. The real question is what does it mean to honor your father and mother in this situation.
