Re: Legal separation

A legal separation only occurs when a judge signes a document titled "Decree of Separation." The filing of divorce papers does not put you in as status of being in a legal separation. You simply are living separate and apart. As you have had a hearing on maintenance, the next steps involve trying to settle the case or preparing for trial. I am in Arlington also and you should call me to discuss this case at no charge. I amat 360-657-3886 between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
