Legal Separation

During a legal separation, am I able to file for divorce at any time? Can I file for divorce right away without a legal separation?

You can file for divorce with or without a separation. A separation can be final as soon as it is filed and served.

You can file for a divorce right away. You have to wait 90 days for the divorce to be final.

Finalizing a divorce is a whole separate problem, and it isn't automatic.
