Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Legal Separation

If I want to file for legal separation, but my wife won't sign the paper work; what can I do. I heard you can file anyway and if she doesn't respond within 20 days, the separation goes into effect.

Re: Legal Separation

It doesn't matter whether your wife signs it or not, it matters that a judge orders it.

File it and have it served on her.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
