legal seperation

can anyone please tell me the difference between legal seperation and divorce. My husband is disable I want to divorce him except I would still have to provide medical insurance so I need to know if legal speration would be a way to still cover his medical but be free of him

Generally the answer to your questions is yes, but there are exceptions, and I can't recite them all, but a few that look to be relevant to your situation are: some companies that provide health insurance for a spouse, terminate insurance if the parties are legally separated (check with your insurance manager), also of course a separation does not free you completely, you cannot remarry. A separation is only as good as the documents you prepare, remember that you should address every issue that you would under a dissolution of marriage (divorce), except for the actual dissolving of the marriage.
