Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Can I be legally forced by court to pay child support while I'm still married? We are seperated since Jan 2007, but not legally. She's live with her parents in Houston, since july 2006, I lived with them for 8 months in 2008. I currently live in Seattle. She sent me papers through the mail to file for (non-contested divorce). We are still some what friends and she's not asking for anything other than I continue to put forth an effort to be in my kids lives and help support them, which I have no problem doing.
