living with my boyfriend at 17?

my boyfriend just turned 18 last month and im 17. we want to get an apartment togeter. we looked at one and the lady said i had to be 18 or emancipated. my mom is fine with the fact that i want to move out. but is what the lady said at the apartments true? is there any other way i could live with him? i have a job and also my GED, i don't know if that makes a difference or not.

If you want to be emancipated that would be under Family Law. However, the question you asked, "is what the lady said at the apartments true?" is under more appropriately under landlord-tenant.
