Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
I am no longer with my husband we are divorcing but havent seen any lawyers, we were trying to go thru a peaceful seperations place but that isnt working out. We have 2 children bene married 12 years he roughly makes about 3 times more then me a year. I no longer live in the home we were renting, right now we have joint custody of the children.
I would like to know my options and chances of having full custody of the kids or at least have them more often and I dont know much about this but I feel like he should be helping out more financially as I am struggling. Is there a standered for these things? I

I am not sure what you mean by "full custody." I am going to guess you want to be the primary residential parent. Assuming both parents are suitable, the most significant fact affecting that is who has been the primary caregiver for the children. You would based on the income disparity be a candidate for spousal maintenance, and based on the length of the marriage it would be appropriate to expect 1-3 years of maintenance, the court has broad discretion in determining spousal maintenance. Upon determining the incomes of the parties child support is relatively non-discretionary, based on a formula/table.
