Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

maintenance

How do I collect maintenance money owed me from a divorce almost ten years ago? I have not received any money and I am recently unemployed and am in need of this agreement being honored. I also need to file an extension on this order before July 2007 (divorced in July 1997).

Re: maintenance

Your statute of limitations is about to run, so the sooner you get on this the better.

it's called a motion to enforce the decree and it is filed under the same diccolution cause number in the same court as the decree.

You need to have it personally served. If you were divorced in July of 97, and he's never paid a thing you are out of luck unless the decree recites that you have a judgment.

The GOOD news is that it's been accruing interest.

Lawyer up and go get him asap. Powell
