Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

is a marriage valid if performed with a no contact order?

there is a no contact order barring my fiance and i having any contact...two actually. one five year, and now a pretrial nco. we would like to get married before he goes to trial in april. the orders are placed by WA state. we would like to go to idaho to get married. my question is this...if two people get married - regardless of what state- when there is a no contact order in place, is that marriage valid? can the state invalidate it or otherwise make it null and void? is it a legal and valid marriage? thank you

Re: is a marriage valid if performed with a no contact order?

The marriage would not be invalid in WA. You would have effectively created a document that may prove a violation of the no contact order.
