Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Getting married during a custody battle

A friend of mine has been planning a wedding for months now and has told her ex husband that she'll be moving out of state after she gets married. Her ex then filed to change custody of their 3 children to him. She's fighting this and i'm telling her to postpone the wedding to focus on the kids and show where her priorities are. Her attorney says to go through with the wedding to show stability. Which is better?

Re: Getting married during a custody battle

I would have said go through with the wedding, because it is planned and won't make any difference to the court.
