Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

military retirement

If the court granted me 17% of his retirement pay but it was not recorded in the final childsupport order can I get it entered in a final order for custody?

Re: military retirement

The retirement distribution is included in the decree, not the order of child support. It doesn't go in the parenting plan either. It belongs in the section about property distribution in the decree. Also, you'll want to contact the branch of the military regarding this promptly. They will want a certified copy of the decree, and maybe more.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
