Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Together only one month!

My ex-husband and I have been together off and on. And during one of these times he got a girl pregnant. Well she's 19 and he's 23. They split up and we are now back together. And soon to be married again. We are very happy, finally. My question is what rights do both my soon to be husband and I have?

Re: Together only one month!

I presume you mean as to the child. I assume the child is and will be living with the mother.

Your rights - none at all - you are not involved even after the marriage.

Your soon to be husband's rights - unless he established paternity and has a residential plan put into place not much at all. The State may establish paternity but they do not always put a residential plan into place. The residential plan establishes visitation. You need to see a local attorney as this situation will only get more complex the longer it is not dealt with. He may find he has the right to pay child support but not the right to see the child unless he takes a positive action to protect his right to help raise his child.
