What are a mothers rights ?

My 6 yr granddaughter was removed from her mothers home by cps for child neglect/drug abuse, The dad is trying to gain custody through family court,Im told by cps that the father now has custody although the mother never recieved any court papers, orders or parenting plan, She never signed anything.I called the court , the records are sealed. paturnity was never established by the father, so how can he have custody. Is this physical custody through cps? What is legal custody? Mother is allowes 3 visits per week through cps, Does the mother have any rights if so what are they?

An attorney would need to review the file before responding to this particular question. The mother can review the court file if it is sealed and she is a named party.
