Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
motion for modificatio child support
Thank You for responding. The motion has not been put into the court yet what I mean is once I put the motion to the court do they have to make a decision lets say with in 60 days or can they review it at there leisure? Does there have to be an appearance in court, as non custodial parent is a convicted felon and Custodial parent if possible but prefer not to have to be in a court room with them.

When you file a motion, you also note it (set a date for hearing). You don't have to appear personally, but if you don't appear personally or by representative (attorney) you could expect that the motion will be denied. It have to note the hearing with enough lead time to allow filing and service with adequate notice (under the rules) to the opposing party.
