Corporal punishment is not illegal in Washington. The use of corporal punishment has risks and if you think it is appropriate it should be used carefully. What does "personal pictures" mean? Generally, unless there is a protection or restraining order a person may take photographs of a person in public, but if photographs are taken is such a way as to invade a person's privacy that is generally a civil wrong (tort), although under some circumstances it may also involve criminal misconduct.
