Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Parenting Plan

I live in WA. I have started dating a guy who is going through a divorce. In a proposed parenting plan his ex-wife to be stated that he cannot have their daugher at my home or even in my presence. There is no reason except bitterness. No abuses, arrests, tickets, etc She has never even met me. He is not going to sign and is now looking for a lawyer. Can she force this for with no cause? Please advise.

Re: Parenting Plan

Probably not. Its called abusive use of conflict and parental alienation.

Ex-es cannot control the future partners of their ex-spouses. Barring meth addiction, child abuse convictions, etc. she doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Some courts, particularly in conservative counties do frown on married persons dating other people.

He's still married. Hope this helps. Powell
