Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Ex parte restraining order - Divorce

I have filed my Summons, Petition, Proposed Parenting Plan, Financial Declaration, Child Suport Schedule, Note of Motion for Calendar for June 18, 2007 and a Signed ex Parter REstraining Order signed on June 5th. My question is, I forgot to change my note for motion of calendar for the 14 days notice and was unable to serve the documents to respondent yesterday with the ex parte restraining order? Do I need to strart all over again and file another ex parte restraining order and note for motion for calendar? The respondent has been hoarding his money and not contributing to family expenses. Can I still serve the signed ex parte restraining order since today will only as 12 days notice instead of 14?

Re: Ex parte restraining order - Divorce

Yes, you need to start over with all the documents harmonized to require the respondent to show up on the correct day.

If you don't you will have to start over again later, and that gets you further away from your goal, not closer.

Also - YOU cannot serve anything. Have a friend or a PI or the cops serve it.
