pension division from OPM in divorce

A judge has asked my lawyer and an oposing lawyer to give a case brief on ''disposable retirement pay'' that my ex-wife is to get a portion. Her attorney claims she should get portion from gross pay. The divorce decree says disposable retirement pay. Are there any cases that have clarifed this in Virginia?
