Re: phone recording

You need to be careful in recording. Arizona law allows recording so long as one participant in the recording knows its being recorded. When you are recoding your own conversations, YOU know its being recorded, so it should be fine. However, Family Court Judges can still be "offended" by the process making it sometimes counterproductive.

I can explain the issues better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.

Re: phone recording

Mr. Peters did a nice job articulating the real problem here, which is that family court commissioners and judges do not want you recording the other party.

WA has caselaw on this and it is disallowed.

You *can* transcribe messages left on your voicemail, but record conversations - no, don't do it.

Hope this helps. Powell
