Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Post Secondary Education

Iam paying post secondary education support for my daughter.

As the order reads: Until completion of 4 years of college or the age of 22 (whichever occurs last). She has attended school now for 4 years, she is 22 yrs. old and is living away from home (buying a house). She is getting married the 16th of August 2003. Will her getting married end my support obligation?

Re: Post Secondary Education

Your daughter getting married has nothing to do with your obligation for post-secondary support. If the order reads "until age 22 or completion of four years of college", then that is the nature and extent of your obligation. Did she turn 22 before completing the fourth year? If so, then the obligation terminated in the next month after the academic year ended.
