Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

What I should do?

I went to prison for 9 months and my kids father is saying that I was bad mother and lots of others lies that arent true and the kids r the ones who are being hurt. And the just think hes true because he dont have any crimnal backround. I have an atty. and he thinks if I agrue the fact and try to make the father look bad that the courts would think I'm ]t4rying make me look good . But the way I see the fathers only keep them from any contacted with them and making the kids think i dont care they say I willfuly abondened them And I did I didnt have a choice to go or not go to prison. he told the courts that I was bad mom had them in drug house withch isnt true. and if it was y diddt try to get the kids before I went prison. not only that I never had my kids with me when I was committing my crimes nor do I i have any CPS case. If I was so bad whydidnt call cps the fact is I wasnt and the only thing hes trying to do is hurt me the only way he can ands that keeping my kids away from me asd long as he can. The courts in my eyes are allowing him to do it . they want supervised visitsand there reason they only have what dans saying but they also have dan not doing anything.

Re: What I should do?

You should get a really skilled family law attorney who can advocate on your behalf to distinguish for the court the difference between a person who had a moment in prison and a mom.

Fairly obvious that your ex is engaged in parental alienation. He should not be telling the kids what happened and interpreting for them that the reason it happened is because you don't love your kids.

Good family law attorneys can make mincemeat out of tactics such as this.
