Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Putting my spouse in Pshyatric care

My husband from whom I am separated from has tried to commit suicide at least 6 times and every time he does he goes in to a short stay pshyatric ward only to get out and go back in again within 2 months I would like to know if I can legally have him committed as he is a harm to himself and has a pain medication addiction as well. He is unable to care for himself and right now two of our children are trying to take care of him but are at a point where they just cannot do this anymore. It is causing emotional distress to them as well as the whole family and we feel that he needs more direct care or treatment which is something that he is not getting as well as treatment for his pain pill addiction. Please advice on what we as a family can do for him

I don't think this is a family law issue.
