Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Questions
I am in a coustody battle and I was wondering if they can move out of state with my daughter even if they don't have my permission? I was also wondering how bad it would look on my part if I was to move to another state even though I have better job and living oppratunities?

Re: Questions
No they cannot. the Child Relocation Act is very specific as to what legal steps must be taken BEFORE a move is done. Otherwise, a parent can be forced to move back to Washington pending a court hearing. You moving away is not adviseable unless there are some very extenuating circumstances. As an attorney with over 27 years of experience, I can tell you that this is a complicated situation and great care must be taken to get through it legally. I'm at your service in Smokey Point. Good Luck!
