Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Quick Claim Deed

I signed a quick claim deed after our divorce. My ex-husband has refused to refinance the land/home that I choose not to go after in the divorce. It's been almost five years and now he wants to refinance but only after my current husband threatened to take legal action. We are paying a high car interest rate in part because of his debt showing up as mine. My ex-husband now wants me to sign something to relinquish all control of the land/home. He told me that he realizes we signed a quick claim deed but this sounds like he is up to something. Why would I have to sign away all control if I already signed a quick claim deed? Did he only have a specific amount of time to refinance before the agreement is void or something? I just don't know if I need a lawyer. I was told the financial institution is requesting that I sign the document.

Re: Quick Claim Deed

A quitclaim deed transfers the entirety of whatever interest a party has in the property described on the deed. So, I don't know what the document he would need you to sign would be. He should have promptly filed the deed with the recorder, but I don't know of any expiration date on a deed.
