Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

quit claim

My husband had me fill out a quit claim after we purchased a house while we were filling out all the paper work for loan. I was unaware of what I signed and now I found out he has no intention of putting me on the house. Do I have any recourse to get 1/2 of the purchase price if we divorce. I make concideribly less then him and am supporting 3 children that are mine. I was under the impression that I was signing to be on the loan and title of the house. what can I do?

Re: quit claim

Your statement is confusing, you state that you filled out a quitclaim after you purchased the house, while doing the paperwork for a loan, usually the loan and purchase are done together. Purchase price is irrelevant to any claim you may have. The claim would be based on value at the time of dissolution. I don't know whether you would be able to support a claim for a community interest in the property. You could certainly make the claim and the resolution would be based on evidence.
