RCW 26.09.430; Child relocation

My ex has moved my children outside of their school district and provided no manditory notice. What is the statute of limitations for me filing an action against her?

Re: RCW 26.09.430; Child relocation

Your remedy is to object to the relocation without notice, and move the court to transfer custody.

There is no caselaw on the time limit for objection, but if it has been longer than 60 days a court may determine that your failure to object waives the notice requirement.

Please carefully review the relocation statute itself.

Don't wait any longer to object.

Hope this helps you sort it out - Powell
