Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Relocation of a child

We live overseas due to being military, and are moving again. The Child has visitation with a parent who lives in the states. Can he object to the move? if so what does that mean?

Re: Relocation of a child

You have to give notice of your intended relocation. So long as your intended relocation doesn't interfere with residential time for the other parent any more than your current arrangement does, then the non residential parents objection, if any, probably won't affect your right to relocate.

Relocation is a hot topic in family law cases right now. There is interesting new case law being published all the time.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
