Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

seperation

My mother has been seeing her boyfriend for over 15 yrs. they have lived together for over 7 yrs. . He has recently told her to move out , she has no vehicle , money , or a place to live . Over the years she has taken care of him due to poor health , so with the understanding of him providing for her financially , she now has nothing to live on . Is there anything legally she can do ? Thank you for your time....Jason

Re: seperation

Your mother may be able to assert a claim against her boyfriend by claiming that they had entered into a domestic partnership or that he and she had entered into a contract for care in exchange for payment of inheritance or other compensation. The main question is this: Does this man have any assets or property that your mother can go after? If not, she may have a valid claim but no way to really and realistically enforce that claim.
