If there is a pending custody dispute between your son and the mother of his child, there should be, at a minimum, temporary orders in place that set general guidelines for custody of the child while the matters are proceeding. If the mother has taken off to another State without providing notice to the father, it could potentially be contempt of court and possibly custodial interference.
