spanking losing custody

My boyfriend has had custody for 3 years. He recently spanked his daughter. the way the law reads he was in his legle right. Now the mom and g.a.l. that is only for the mom is saying he is dangerous. He may loose her. The g.a.l. has constintly been very very biast. We have lots of proof she is not considering the neglect the mother has done to the child. She never brings up anything that the mother has done that is very bad to the child and we have proof of all this.
