Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

how to submit a decloration

I have an up and coming show cause hearing, and I am representing myself. The hearing is to modify my exsisting parenting plan and implement a ex parte protective order. I have another party that I wish to add their decloration to my exsisting documents. What all do I need to do to add the decloration? File it with clerk, commissioner, serve it upon the other party, etc.?

Re: how to submit a decloration

A declaration needs to have the language (after the body of the declaration) I swear under the penalty of perjury of the Laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. Signed in _________, Washington on this ___ day of _______ 2000.

An original needs to be filed with the Clerk, a copy goes to opposing party, a copy goes to the Commissioner, and you keep a copy. YOu need to check the local court rules for when the declaration needs to be filed and served (be careful, service and filing are two different things).
