Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Ex who thinks she get all the control over the son.

I have a boyfriend that's in the Coast Guard. He is mostly around, but sometimes has to leave for a week for a job. His divorce degree states that he has visitation the even number years. It states he has visitation from the time his son get out of school intil Dec. 24 9pm. But the mother seems to think that while the father is at work, the son should come back home. There is no reason why I can't care for the son, while his father is at work. What actions can I take and are there forms I can fill out to make her realize she can't decide who her son is care for and that's it's also his fathers decision?

Is this a Washington divorce? In a Washington divorce, the Decree would not address parenting, that would be in a Parenting Plan. Assuming that you are looking at the Parenting Plan, unless there are restrictions on decision making on childcare in the Plan, the father may make childcare decisions as effectively as the mother. The language of the Parenting Plan is controlling. Sorting these issues out is the responsiblity of the parents, so there is nothing you can directly do about it yourself.
