For transportation, is the receiving parent the non-custodial parent who "receives" the child every ohter weekend?

My attorney led me to believe that. My ex, the non-custodial parent "receives" my son ever other weekend. He used to drop off and pick up but now he says, it's my job to do that, or at least half of it.

It depends upon the wording of your custody orders. Generally speaking your ex is the receiving parent on alternating Fridays, and you are the receiving parent on alternating Sundays. Why did you not ask your attorney this question?
