Travel Plans in Jeapordy
HELP!!!! I informed my ex-wife that I would be out of town in Australia for combination work/pleasure travel for the first three weeks of August. I gave her lots of notice and suggested an alternative parenting plan for later in the month when I return.
Now she's trying to relocate the children and says that if I try to leave the country she's going to have me arrested, etc. Seems she's trying to bully me into accepting her parenting plan and move plans and is going to try to disrupt my travel which has been planned for months. Can she do that? How? What can I do to stop it? Thanks.

Re: Travel Plans in Jeapordy
I am guessing that she is the parent with whom the children reside most of the time. She can file a notice of intent to relocate, but she has to follow the process. You could file a notice of unavailability for the time you are going to be away (lawyers do it all the time, pro se parties do it less often, but the rules apply). If she has not actually given the notice that makes it difficult for her to move anything forward while you are gone. As to having you arrested, unless there is more to your trip than you have stated, I don't know what basis anybody would have for arresting you.
