Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
turms for divorce
I have been married for alomost 11 years and for the past 6 years we haven't been romantic (putting it politely), also he keeps cammand of the money that comes in, always has. I worked full time for the first 6 years of our marrage but then I started my own business. I don't make that much money a month, less than 1000.00, but he wants me to pay him 1000.00 a month to help with bills, even though he makes good money, enough to pay for a house on 5 acers. would this be good grounds for divorce?

Re: turms for divorce
Legally grounds for divorce in the State of Washington is that the marriage is irretrievably broken, and proof of that is that at least one party to marriage asserts it. Whether the conditions you describe are enough to convince you that the marriage is irretrievably broken only you can say.

If you are living in WA, you do not need any grounds to divorce your spouse, you only need to allege irreconcilable differences. All this means is that at least one of you do not want to be married with each other anymore. (The legal term used for divorce in WA is dissolution of marriage.)
Whether you should divorce your spouse is a personal choice. Only you can decide whether you want to be married to him.
If you do not have ready access to cash but your husband does, you may ask the court to pay you some cash so that you can take care of your expenses during the divorce.
You may want to consult an attorney to review your facts and options.
