Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
types of restraining orders
I still need to co-parent with my ex husband (emotionally abusive to me for our 17 yr marriage), but after a recent episode I would like to never be around him without another adult present. Is there a way I can legally stipulate this without getting a restraining order? We will need to attend kids events at the same time/place, etc still.

Re: types of restraining orders
There are restraining orders available in a divorce that are not necessarily related to domestic violence or harassment, but rather are often issued on a temporary basis to keep the peace. This may be all you need, but you should discuss this issue with your divorce attorney.
