Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
vehicle loan
My ex-husband is refusing to take my name off of his vehicle loan and title of his vehicle. We verbally agreed this would happen instead of being smart and putting it in our divorce papers. We have been divorced since August 2007. What legal action can I take to force him to remove my name?

Re: vehicle loan
You may have a "hold harmless clause" that will help. If something he is doing is adversely affecting you. If you can't show damages, you probably don't have remedy there. You may make a motion to amend the decree, and adding the type of provision you want to add may well be favored by a court. Don't delay, if you are going to do it, do it sooner rather than later.
