Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Ex Wife leaving country with child
My ex-wife filed for divorce after I moved to Washington and was waiting on her and the baby to move up. I've always maintained constant visitation and a residence for my daughter over the last 5 years. She spends the entire summer with me and all of her school vacations. The ex wife has custody because I didn't resist as long as I had unlimited visitation. Now She's planning on taking my daughter out of the country for a year and then moving out of Oregon. What can I do to guaranty my visitation rights.

Re: Ex Wife leaving country with child
First of all, you should hire an aggressive Oregon attorney if that is where the parenting plan is entered with the court. A move out of the county is a pretty big step. You might seek to go in and amend the parenting plan so that limitations are placed on removing the child out of the country.
