Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

I will soon be moving to another state soon due to an employment oportunity (was unemployed) but we expect a legal battle from my wife's ex-husband. Actually, we had a 2 1/2 legal battle with him already which was not of our choosing. He has been relentless and constantly threatens us with legal actions, if we don't comply with whatever he wants. The parenting plan will be the primary issue to be resolved. In Washington State, we don't know what to expect as a reasonable visitation schedule for the non-constodial parent.

Thanks you,

Marty

You will want to review the requirements in your parenting plan, usually paragraph 3.14. Then look at the statutes beginning with RCW 26.09.405 down through 26.09.560. Pay particular attention to the procedures to follow. If the father objects, the basis on which the court will make its decision is in 26.09.520.

Reasonable would probably be alternating major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter/Spring break) and 1/2 the summer, but it all depends on the case details.
