Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington
Need to find forms to file a civil case to get a truck back
Can someone please tell me what forms I need (and where I can find them) to file a civil court case in Yakima county? This is NOT a small claims case. The clerk's office told me it has to be filed in superior court since their district court only deals with monetary cases.
We need to get the court to order an individual to return a truck to us that legally belongs to us. I guess we would be arguing a case of conversion (from what I've been told).
I've been to the courthouse, talked to the clerks, talked to an attorney and none have been able to help. Can anyone here help?

Hello: Actually, the action you are seeking to file is called a replevin action. There is no way I can responsibly give you enough free information on line to enable you to do this yourself.
An attorney can help you. You need to pay that person and his or her fees can probably be recouped from the person who took your truck.
I don't mean to be difficult; there are no 'forms' available that you can simply fill out.
Think of it like this: You are in a similar position to a person showing up at a hospital and telling the staff to rent you an operating room and a book on surgery because you think you have a burst appendix.
Your county Bar has some sort of a low-cost clinic where you can find an attorney. I wish you the best of luck, but the question you ask is simply not answerable in this context.
