Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

Gifts

I was gifted a car by my grandfather in February of this year. The car was not in my name, but have possessed it all this time. My granfather just passed away, and my uncle came in the middle of the night, and took the car, along with all my possessions, without my knowledge. Do I have any legal recourse in recovering the vehicle.

Re: Gifts

You have legal recourse. The true question is what proof can you provide that your grandfather intended you to keep the car? What proof does your uncle have that he did not? What is the car worth? This determines which court you should use.
