Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

Identity cloning

What does one do when an ex-wife poses as me (the current wife) to: 1- get compensation information about the husband from the company's HR department, charges on a flexible spending account for medication, cancels airline reservations for a third party(daughter- per custody agreement)? All are documented in respective companies. Please advise.

Re: Identity cloning

You write to each of these companies enclosing a picture of you and a picture of the new wife, and you state clearly that you never made the arrangements, that instead, your identity was stolen. You should provide whatever documentary evidence you have to show these companies that new wife was not you.

You make a police report by contacting 911 and telling the operator that your matter is not an emergency. Then explain what you have said here.

Cancelling a plane reservation interfered with residential time? If so, then ask to have husband held in contempt. Third parties can be held in contempt for violation of a parenting plan if they have actual knowledge of the terms of the plan.

You should consider getting an attorney to help you with this. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
